Lipscomb University

Lipscomb University is a private, Christ-centered, liberal arts institution located in Nashville, TN, founded in 1891 and affiliated with the Church of Christ. Located on a 65-acre campus, it offers rigorous academic programs, focusing on intellectual growth, spiritual formation, and service. It is ranked among national universities and known for its business, health, and arts programs.

National Center for Teacher Residencies

NCTR is a not-for-profit organization that serves a growing national network of high performing residency programs. Founded in 2007, NCTR is the only organization in the nation dedicated to developing, launching and supporting the impact of residency programs. NCTR partners with school districts, charter management organizations, institutions of higher education, not-for-profits, and states to develop and support teacher residency programs as quality pipelines of effective and diverse new teachers.

Memphis-Shelby County Schools

Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) is the school district serving Memphis and unincorporated areas of the county. With about 200 schools and 7,000 teachers, it is among the 25 largest districts in the US.  Of the approximately 106,000 students in the district, 80% are economically disadvantaged by free & reduced lunch standards. Hundreds of MTR residents and graduates work in Memphis-Shelby County Schools or the charter schools authorized by MSCS.

Achievement School District

The Achievement School District was created in 2010 with the goal of dramatically raising student achievement at schools in the bottom 5% of schools in Tennessee. The ASD runs approximately 30 schools in Memphis in partnership with various charter operators, and many MTR residents and graduates work in these schools.

AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps is an independent agency of the United States government that engages more than five million Americans in service through a variety of stipended volunteer work programs. AmeriCorps delivers several programs designed to help communities address poverty, the environment, education, and other unmet human needs.
