Right is Right
Ms. Cornwell has a responsibility to teach her students the correct answer, not the “almost” answer or the “not quite, but close enough” answer. Her high expectations are evident throughout the 4th grade Math classroom as seen in: answers that are in complete sentences, subject-verb agreement in questioning, and 100%, no-doubt-about-it right answers.
No student will ever leave Ms. Cornwell’s classroom wondering if they answered the question correctly, or whose answers were more accurate. She holds her students to very high expectations, knowing they can reach them. Ms. Cornwell, and all great teachers, will never accept “good enough” when they know their students can give more.
