REQUIRED PRAXIS II TESTS

An official score report needs to be sent to the TN Dept. of Education (this automatically happens when registrants select Tennessee as the state of licensure).  Additionally, if notified before registration, candidates should select Union as the receiving university for their scores to be sent as soon as they are in.  When applicants register for the Praxis II test, they should designate Union (code 1826) and the TN Department of Education (code 8190) as score recipients. Applicants who have already passed the PRAXIS II test may send a copy of the official score report to the MTR only after receiving an invitation to join the program. Applicants should keep their original official score reports in a safe place for future reference.

Also, please note that all ELEMENTARY RESIDENTS must pass the Praxis II 20146 MIDDLE SCHOOL: Content Knowledge test (NOT the 10014 Elementary Education: Content Knowledge test).  The MTR requires that all MTR elementary residents become certified in Elementary K-6 with the additional endorsement of Middle Grades 4-8.
